8:40 pm

check it out yo!
i'm sorry that i haven't been blogging lately, but i have only been using the computer for a half-hour a day.... checking emails and stuff.
Miracle no? :)
It's really something great, since I can spend more time on studies instead.
BUT I'm not going to neglect this blog, no way! ;)
yeah, school has been... a handful i would say. :]
and it's only the first week. *faints*
still, I cannot stress enough the fact that i have to work really hard.
Like... harder than anyone else.
I'll have to do something about that... ;/
I know for sure, that a motivation camp will never inspire me to strat working harder.
That is, after I paid (or rather, my parents and the government subsidy) 400? 500? bucks to go to Adam Khoo's motivation camp when I was in Primary Six (it was strongly encouraged for ALL the Primary 6 pupils)
It was shit.
I never liked it one bit.
I think.
Come to think of it now, I find it quite useless, and a total waste of money.
Not that I'm trying to psycho anyone to not go to the camp or whatever.
By all means, go!
It is MY opinion, and mine only.
Some may find it effective.
I didn't.

But anyway, I didn't come on here to rant about that! :)
I wanted to tell everyone about today! ;D
Today was fun.
Well fun.
We played Tag Rugby for PE.
It was exhilarating, not to mention exhausting as well.
It was like... running randomly (like air molecules... bombarding smoke particles... was it?)
then we had to pull tags out of the velcro belts we had on.
I had two tags... like... attached to my belt.
Then I had to prevent my tags from being snatched away, and at the same time, try to grab the other teams' belts. ;)
if both tags have been grabbed, you are out! :)
That was totally fun.

Then in that same group, we tried passing the rugby ball.
Mr C. said that in his history of coaching rugby, our team were like, the best in demostrating well.
Like.. do i believe him?
Okay, it made us feel good. :)
haha.
Praise never fails to lift someone's spirit! ;)

So yeah, I've been up late every day of the week today... reading this book that is 600++ pages long.
That explains the tiredness I experience in school. :(
Yeah, so the book's called Lady of the Forest, by Juliet...somewhat or another.
It's a trilogy, so I'm glad!
It is a little long-winded... but I really liked it. ;)
Anyway, it's an olden-times kind of book.
Very interesting if you ask me.
I crieeeeeed so many times while reading it.
Ooh, the powerrrrrr of words.

haha.
yeah, so stayed back for math remedial today.
Vectors is a kind of interesting, once you get the hang of it.
AND I AM!!!! X)
Which totally means I'm going to do the homework tonight! ;D
YAYYYYYY.
Sorry I sound so enthusiastic.
I really want to do well.

As for Grad/Prom Night...
hmmmm.
Maybe I should go for a movie marathon instead. :0
I just checked.
There are like... so many movies I wanna watch!!!!! :(
And there are all out this year, stupid. :/

Woosh.
New song... not yet uploaded, but I'm trying to!!

lovelove! ;)

Monday, June 25, 2007 6:57 pm

Ah, the dreaded first day of school.
Let's do a recount, shall we?

First thing in the morning, I got up.
Honestly, I wasn't THAT tired. :)
Which is weird, since I slept at like... 12 maybe?
I was up trying to record the new song i did.
It just doesn't sound right.
Anyway.

Parade square.
Noisy as ever.
Many new teachers, and introductions were made.
Then I saw Caucasians.
A FIRST!
My gosh.
They're not even in our level.
They're with the Secondary 3s.
Man... :/
2 guys and 2 girls as well as a teacher.
They said one guy was down with fever.
Canida says she hopes he's cute. ;P
Haa.
This is so cool.
Caucasians in a Chinese school.
:)

So i was thinking if I should go for prom...
Maybe I should list down a couple of reasons why I should and should not go eh?
Yeah, I will.

Great. I'll upload the new song onto youtube, then post it here y'all! ;)

Sunday, June 24, 2007 10:24 pm

Oh yeah, I forgot to say.
Please go watch The Click Five's new music video, 'Jenny'.
It's like aceeeeeeeeee! ;D
Oh, and Teardrops On My Guitar by Taylor Swift.
I swear Tyler Hilton is gorrrrrrrgeous in it.
And yeah... uhm... Hey There Delilah by Plain White T's as well...
The music vid is like..., really cool! :)

Go on!!!!
Google it! :)

Cheers maytes.

10:02 pm

Okay, I'm not going to do the musicblog today, because I am utterly devastated that school is starting tomorrow.
And with homework left undone... I think I may have a panic attack soon.
I wrote a new song today.
It sounds lame now, come to think of it.
I tried recording it so many times, but just when I'm about to finish... I ALWAYS do something to ruin the whole damn thing.
It's exasperating.
GAHHHHHHH!
I detest the thought of having to wake up at 5.30am tomorrow morning.
I loathe Mondays, and Sunday nights.
I have a good mind to rip my homework into bits and then tell the teachers that my dog ate my homework.
Not that I have a dog, but it's not like they know, do they?

And so, tonight concludes the end of the holidays.
The beginning of a new term.
The start of a wonderful...
Why will it be wonderful anyway?!

So much angst in me.
I haven't done my SS homework...
do you think I'll be so unlucky and get singled out tomorrow?
I'm that timid.
I'm useless.
Yes, and keep telling myself that.

Bah.
I've had enough of this.
I'm going to enjoy the last 2 and a half hours of my last night.
Great, it sounds like I'm dying again.
8-)

---------------
oh, yes i'm fine... everything's just wonderful
i'm having the time of my life.
(CAN YOU HEAR THE SARCASM?)

Saturday, June 23, 2007 10:36 pm

Is it a crime,
if you just waste your life away?
Will you be fined,
cos' you lost that chance to say...

One day, I am gonna run.
Away from this town, away from it all.
One day, I will have it all,
Whatever they say, won't make me fall.

Okay, that was lame-ass crap.
BUT WHO CARES.
Tears that fall don't mean nothing at all.
Yeah, so i'm wasting life away.
TAKE IT then, if you think you can do a better job.
It's kind of difficult living in this part of the world.
I want to live in a mountain or the countryside,
where what they do everyday will be going fishing,
or traveling to different countries.

Yeah, that would be nice.

WHAT?
I just got a scolding from both parents for spending too much time on the computer.
No big deal.
My heart just hurts.
I can't stop this.

x

Thursday, June 21, 2007 11:02 pm

World.
I need to rant badly.

Yesterday, I went to cut my hair.
And I ate a plate of carrot cake for lunch.
It was delicious.

Today, I went out with Dawn, TingTing and Canida.
We went to Vivo to catch Nancy Drew.
Canida sort of got lost on the way to the cinema.
:]
Never mind that.
The theatre was lousy.
The movie stopped halfway.
And we had to wait for it to come back on.
It happened two times.
Anyway, Nancy Drew is a wonderful movie.
It's popcorn fun.
In a sense...
I love it.
Actually, I kind of love movies... so most movies I watch, I'll love.
:/
The show was funny, and touching in a way.
I liked Ned Nickerson in the movie.
He was so cute. :D
Max Thieriot is his name.
*gushes*
He's just cute.
Awwww.
Is this why we love movies?
Because the female/male leads are cute/hot?
BUT THAT'S BLATANTLY CHEATING SUCKERS OF THEIR MONEY.
Paying to watch cute/hot celebs act in a movie that could or could not be nice.
Bah, call me a sucker then!
I'll gladly payyyyyyy to watch them on the big screen, up close! :O
MCFLY will be even better.
I mean, let me meet them up close for free! :P

So, after that, I came back home for tuition.
Chinese tuition.
It was absolutely the worst one.
I had to write a composition describing mountains.
Yes.
I mean, what's there to write about mountains?!
Don't get me wrong, I used to LOVE mountains...
that is, when I did not have to climb them, or write about them.
So she tried to help us along the way, the tuition teacher that is.
But she got so into it, that she got faster.
Come to think of it, she's always explaining things so quickly it's hard to catch up.
But today was the worst.
I couldn't catch up to what she was saying, I was practically crying at the end.
I ended up not absorbing a word she said... and just copied what she wrote on the board.
Yeah. And to think I am paying her fifteen bucks for something like that.
:/
THAT'S WHY I HATE WRITING DESCRIPTION STUFF.
GAHHHHHHHHHHHH. SO DIFFICULT, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT IS IN CHINESE!

And just after dinner, I taught my sister some indices/algebra stuff, that she had to complete.
20 questions.
3 hours.
SCREAMINGGGGGGG.
I mean, it wasn't EASY!
But come on, it was exasperating.
She hasn't even LEARNT all those stuff she was supposed to do.
Gah.
You know... it was so... "qi gek", teaching her!
But I am a nice sister you know *rolls eyes*

Oh well.
Now I'm too tired to use the com, I have to sleep.
And thinking that the holidays are coming to an end just makes me dread going back to school even more.

:(:(:(

------------------
I am feeling reallllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllly sad.

Monday, June 18, 2007 10:07 pm

Hey there everyone! ;)
Yes, it's time for me to recount on today.
MONDAY.
It's supposed to be a start of something new.
But I kind of feel depressed.
That is because after Monday, will come Tuesday... then later on Sunday will arrive.
The DREADED Sunday.
Nobody likes Sundays.
Well, or rather, Sunday NIGHTS.
I DON'T WANT TO GO BACK TO SCHOOL NO MORE!

Anyway, I have some photos to show everyone!
My dad was laughing as I brought the cake I baked out yesterday.
:)
Honestly, I never knew it was so disgusting.
Everybody said it was nice though.
I mean, the sugar bits in the frosting was still... well, obviously felt.
Although it shouldn't have been there.
My sis said it sucked.
Typical.

Anyway, I was so embarrassed when my dad called my aunt to our house to eat the 'AWESOME' cake.
I was like, CUT A SMALL PIECE, CUT A SMALL PIECE!
Haha... well, my cousin did finish it quite fast... and said it was better than his mother's cakes... but who's he to know?! He's just a kid! Maybe he was forced to say it. :/
Ahhhhhh.
Well, still have a couple of pieces more to eat.
It's really chocolatey. :]
so musn't eat too much.
Maybe I should finish it later.
UGH.

PICS UP NOW!

There we go. :]
It doesn't look THAT presentable...but really who cares ?
It's good for a first timerrrr. :/
I hope.
LOL.
does it make anyone drool? :P

this is an evening out of my window.
the camera couldn't capture the brilliance of the colours though.
sigh, nature. :)

MUSICBLOG

Misery Business by Paramore
Emergency by Paramore
Pressure by Paramore
We've Got A Big Mess On Our Hands by The Academy Is

yayyyy!

6:39 pm

Okayyyy, pressured by a certain somebody to blog, I shall do so.
Not that I was just about to blog myself! :)
Oh great, and I have to do the MusicBlog today as well!
Coolness!

So yeah, what have I been up to...
On Friday, I met up with PeiWen.
Yes, we were planning to do some studying together.
Practically wasted the whole afternoon at Macs Bukit Merah, and then Great World City.
Ha! :P
I DID get some highlighting done though, for Chem.
No wonder we didn't get much done.
It was Chem! :)
The most hated subject by far.
So... I ate Auntie Anne's Parmesan Cheese Pretzel.
YUMMMM.
Although I think I still prefer the Cinammon one.
Bah, Friday was kind of boring.
Except that I watched the last episode of the fourth season of One Tree Hill.
DEVASTATED man.
What am I going to do to fill those sleepless nights from now on?!
Anyway, the last episode was COOL!
I was crying already into the first few minutes of the show.
It's that tear-inducing!
;)
yes, there IS going to be a season five, so I'm going to look forward to that! ;)

So on Saturday, which was yesterday...
was my aunt's (aka, my Mom's sister) birthday! ;)
Ooh, love birthdays.
We went to West Coast Park in the morning.
Yes, to have breakfast after we walked ONE round.
LOL!
Then later on in the evening, we went to the Prima Tower, the one near Vivo?
The flour mill, with the revolving restaurant at the top?
Yes, that one.
DINNERRRRR. :)
I kinda like the place there.
Cold, but really cool.
Just that the revolving kinda made me sick.

We had a lobster cold dish... then sharks' fin soup (which I didn't want to drink but drank it anyway) , fried fish, PEKING DUCK SKIN WRAPPED IN I DON'T KNOW WHAT SKIN.
Yes, I LOVE THAT DISH.
With the sweet sauce, it's delicious!
Then I think we had... peas, noodles and later on for dessert fried tang yuan with black sesame.
It's actually quite good! :o
I think I may have left out some of the food...

When we headed back to my aunt's house, we, that is, my cousin (a boy) and I played on his Xbox. HALO! :D
I actually like that game.
Not that I was killing much, I was just walking aimlessly around, collecting grenades and rounds for assault rifles. Haa. My cousin did much of the killing.
I DID KILL SOME ALIENS!
Anyway, i tried killing him, but he got to me first.
LOL!

We had cake.
Pistachio Strawberry Shortcake.
From the Conrad International Hotel?
It was creamy, and spongy.
Not much of pistachio taste, but what do i know?
I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT PISTACHIO tastes like.
LMAO!

yeah.
so we played some more...
and then left at 1030pm. :(

I've finished the latest book I borrowed from Dawn.
It's titled A Place Called Here, by Cecelia Ahern.
It was quite weird at first, the plot.
I couldn't exactly understand most of it until I continued reading.
Definitely not one of those books that you'd come across everyday.
Very unique plot.
Kind of like a fantasy thingummy.

TODAY.
I woke up at 8am exactly... or somewhere around that time.
I started looking around for cake tins.
FATHER'S DAY people, and my dad had to work.
*shakes fist at those ships that he inspected* WHY ON FATHER'S DAY!
Anyway, me and mom went out to FairPrice at Tanjong Pagar to get neccessary ingredients!
Came back to bake the cake.
Quite tiresome actually.
NEVER AGAIN! I told my mom. :)
But really, how can i bake a cake for my dad, and not one for my mom?
It's totally unfair.
I should not be biased! :D

I'll take some pictures of the cake later on.
The frosting didn't come out too well.
It still has sugar particles in it.
Hm, oh well, slipshod work! :(
It's the thought that counts! :)

Uhhhhhhhm, what else...
Oh yeah, the rents' and aunt's family went out to eat porridge.
Me and my sis are at home, and we just had pizza.
It's yummy.
Torittos or somewhat...
Thin crust.
Cheesy.
That's what makes a good pizza.

Okay, that's it!
Im going to start recording a cover song.
(HINT)
:)
I like that song. ;D

Thursday, June 14, 2007 10:14 pm

GRRR.
I'm having a stomachache of some sort.
:(
After eating dinner that is.
Grilled potatoes and boiled veggies, and satay!
ARGH, must be the satay.
or the satay sauce.
I kinda ate too much sauce... :/

Anywayyy.
I went to watch Fantastic Four with mom and sis today!
XD
yeah...
I LOVED THE SHOW!
Torch and the Stone guy... (sorry, i didn't know what to call him)
they are like, comic relief in the show. :D
Love it.
Very cool.
Sound and visual effects were good.
yayyyyy.

that's another one striked off.

meh, i'm gonna do transformations now.
that's math by the way.
NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH TRANSFIGURATIONS. :)

loveya'all! ;)

Tuesday, June 12, 2007 10:29 pm

sorry i haven't been posting much lately.
i was really tired.
all i have to say for GB today is that we're done.
FINALLY.
or hopefully. :/
We were made to run 30 rounds as punishment...
8-( for tardiness and such.
GRRR.
and i did not come in the WRONG attire.
I DID NOT HAVE THE RIGHT ATTIRE BECAUSE I KINDLY LENT IT TO A JUNIOR WHO WENT OVERSEAS, AND I HAD NO MEANS OF CONTACTING HER WHATSOEVER.
Argh. I'm being driven to boiling point.
But one must forgive and forget.
Just 6 more months, and i'll be free from wrath.

Anyway, check this video out.
it's just full of Danny's laughter.
It's CONTAGIOUS!!!! X)

Makes you wanna laugh along too, to be honest! XD

alright, bye now!

Friday, June 08, 2007 9:28 pm

Ooh, what an exciting day. :-)
Yes, today ended off with a dramatastic event.
A FIRE!
:)
Obviously I wasn't hurt, or I wouldn't be sitting here right now, blogging about it! :]
It was on the 6th floor of our block.
Yeah, just one floor up from my house.
It was quite funny actually.
I was in my room playing my guitar... trying to write a new song (hint!)
and then my mom came into my room and said,
"Fire upstairs, quickly go down"
Or something remotely related to that sentence...
So we just made our way down.
We saw policemen cordoning our block, people could not go back to their houses,
so they stood around, looking up at the 6th floor unit.
About 7pm or so I believe.

Honestly, I thought the fire would be put out in minutes...
It wasn't a big one too... only black smoke coming out of the windows and a number of small explosions here and there.
Then the firefighters were... slow.
The water hoses weren't even connected properly.
When the water flowed... the hose just disconnected itself halfway, and flailed wildly about like it had a life of its own, but really it was the force of the water that made it so violent.

I, for the first time, have seen the inefficiency of our firefighters.
I mean, they took quite some time to force the front door open,I think, from where I stood...
A small crowd of people were talking and gesturing... and some who just came back from work were staring in the direction of where most people were staring at...
Anyway, the smoke alone blackened the 7th and 8th storey units above the 6th floor unit.
Quite serious? I don't know...
Luckily there weren't any unconscious people in there, they'd have already been black as charcoal after the firefighters got into the house.

An eye-opener really.
We were allowed back after an hour. ;)

Yup, new song...
I found it hidden in the pages of my A Math textbook.
Lovely surprise...
There were even chords! :)
I think I may finish it tonight, and then post it tomorrow?
BUT after what Canida did... I doubt it.

Thursday, June 07, 2007 9:20 pm

cigarette held between her fingers
she is wasting her life away
alone in her bed, she's crying every night
even more than words can say

silhouette, though it's faint, it still shines
hiding in the dark and cold
maybe the rain will dim the stars
but the future's been foretold

wow.
DEEP much? :]
lovelove!

6:18 pm

OMG.
I practically slept the whole day away!!!!!
GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
This is SO bad.
I mean, how can I sleep for a whole day?!
No, this is NOT GOOD at all.
I cannot afford to sleep a whole day away...

WAHHHHH. :(
Someone help me.

Well well well.
I am really glad to have support from great friends like those who commented on the video! :)
It really does give me a boost!
So I've gone on and recorded the whole song!
I did it in a hurry and it was like 11 plus at night, so the singing may not be all that good, so bear with it please!
THANKS!

Anyway, I've had a long day today, so I'll stop here.
Just dropped by to let everyone who cares know I'm fine. :]

Bummer, I'm having trouble uploading the video... :/
Maybe I'll try again tomorrow.

Everybody seems to be putting up McFLY lyrics.
Well, at least Canida is anyway... :D

so I want to do that too!
LOL.

-------------------------

NO WORRIES
We ran past strawberry fields and smelt the summertime
When it gets dark I’ll hold your body close to mine
And then we’ll find some wood and hell we’ll build a fire
And then we’ll find some rope and make a swinging tyre

Captivated by the way you look tonight
The light is dancing in your eyes, your sweet eyes

It’s times like these we’ll never forget
Staying out to watch the sunset
I’m glad I shared this with you
Cause you set me free
Show me how good my life could be
How could this happen to me? Yeahhhohhh

And then I’ll swing you girl until you fall asleep
But when you wake up you’ll be lying next to me (ba ba ooo)
We’ll go to Hollywood, make you a movie star (movie star)
I want the world to know how beautiful you are

Captivated by the way you look tonight
The light is dancing in your eyes, your sweet eyes yeah

It’s times like these we’ll never forget
Staying out to watch the sunset
I’m glad I shared this with you
Cause you set me free
Show me how good my life could be
How did you happen to me? Yeahhhohhh

There are no secrets to be told
Nothing we don’t already know
(bum bum bum)
We got no fears of growing old
We got no worries in the world

Ba Ba Ba Da Ba Ba Da
Ba Ba Ba Da Ba Ba Da Baaa Ba Da Baaa [x4]

You know you're in love when you can't fall asleep
because reality is finally better than your dreams

I <3 this.
It's a quote... but wouldn't it be lovely in a song?
I wonder if it's copyright...

MUSIC BLOG!

1. Taylor Swift [OUR SONG]
Yes, this is probably my favourite song at the moment.
It's country, but really, give it a listen!
I can even play it on the guitar!
Apart from the strumming, which I haven't yet got the hang of.

2. Taylor Swift [PICTURE TO BURN]
Yet another number from Taylor, who's a she by the way.
It's a lovely edgy song.

www.myspace.com/taylorswift

3. Michael Buble [EVERYTHING]
Quite a nice tune to it.
From his new album Call Me Irresponsible.
Crooner. :]

4. Plain White T's [HEY THERE DELILAH]
I believe this song is quite old.
But after I heard it... I felt this was worth mentioning.
It's an acoustic piece, and really sweet.
:]

5. Jack Johnson [NO OTHER WAY]
I think I should listen to more of his stuff.
Don't really like the lyrics, but the melody is good!

6. Kate Nash [FOUNDATIONS]
I thought she sounded like Lily Allen.
Anyway, good song, has a teasing edge to it.
Kick ass accent though. :]
Watch the video too!
Recommended to me by Elena! :D

I know I know!
I haven't been doing the music blog for 2 weeks now!
And I do have some GREAT songs to recommend.. so I'll post it in the next blog. ;]

Anyways... today I went to school for extra lessons.
Geography and Math.
T'was alright I guess... maybe a little boring.
:/

Hm, OH.
I watched Pirates 1 last night.
LOVED IT.
I always loved watching Orlando Bloom on telly or bigscreen.
Oh, I might buy that Elizabethtown movie after all.
We'll see.
It's a lousy film, but it was quite... mellow.
Like, it makes me feel calm during certain parts.
AH WHAT AM I SAYING!

Well, Hilary(my cousin) was supposed to come out today..
but well, she didn't!
AND I DON'T HAVE TUITION TODAY!
:./

Yeah, go check out the new song i posted on youtube.
It'd be great to have some support. ;/
Not that you'd want to be exposed to utterly terrible singing.

DON'T LAUGH ALRIGHT!
I know the guitar playing and singing is bad.
BUT THE LYRICS are okay!
And my first comment was by a stupid guy who thought McFLY paid me to put their poster up on the wall.
IS IT A CRIME TO LOVE MCFLY IN THE FIRST PLACE?!
GOD, some people just have no brains, and all they can think of is money.

Baby we were making straight A's
But we were stuck in a dumb daze
Don't take much to memorise your lies
Feels like we've been hypnotised

And if you wanna be the teacher's pet
Well baby you'd better forget it
Rock got no reason, rock got no rhyme
You better get me to school on time

SCHOOL OF ROCK!

GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
I uploaded a video onto Youtube today.
God, why did I even do it, I don't know.
But it is the most daring move on my part, EVER.
I hope people will like it...
I could die from embarrassment! :(

BUT if I wanna live my dream... I've got to have thick skin!
So, YEAH.
Wish me luck.

The link to the video?
I'M NOT PUTTING IT ON HERE!!!!!
Oh, okay... maybe later.

I'm now going to reflect on WHY I actually did what i did.

OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
I am going to have Starbucks once a month.
Yes.
Just a small cup of indulgence every 30 days or so.
It will NEVER hurt!
Well, actually it will burn a hole in my pocket...
BUT I CANNOT TAKE IT ANYMORE.
Why am I depriving myself of things that I want?
Seize the chance and GO FOR IT!
AWESOME!

You know how I first said I'd be mugging the hell out during this June holidays?
SCRAP THAT!
I'm so free I think I should panic, if you know what I mean...
I mean, I can't seem to get started on ANYTHING!
It's damn frustrating.
I think I need a study partner.
Any volunteers?
BAH. It's not like anyone wants to study with me anyway.
I'm boring, and stupid.

:/

Okayokay, got to go TRY and concentrate..
but it's not going to be of any use sitting in front of the computer.
SHHHHHHHHHHHHITTTTTTTE.

I am first and foremost a galaxy defender.
If there's 3 words to describe me, it would be:
mcfly, cameras and travelling.
I have an unhealthy obsession with waffles and teh tarik.
I love acoustic sounds - and I sing.
Also a proud #brookster - Joe Brooks certified!
2012 is going to be the best yet, just wait and see.
