The conversation's getting stale
If you won't point it out, then I will
Monday, March 31, 2008 10:26 am

i'll be changing my blogskin soon... i hope.
but it's so much easier using the PC.
ugh. guess i should spend more time with my baby

anyway, i had a really weird dream this morning.
it was really jumbled up.
like, there were people from my primary school, my secondary school and also jurong jc.
eek.
i don't know why but i vaguely remember attending chinese tuition at one point.
and we had to present a skit on stage.
if you want to know who was in that skit... just ask me.
i'd rather not post it here.
i may offend a few people.
but i know some teacher resembling Mr Fonseka but was not Mr Fonseka was the emcee.
and we had rivals.
and behind the stage was a teacher's room and i saw my jj econs teacher, the shorter one Justine, drinking coffee...?
the skit was really weird, so don't ask me to write it here.
it had something to do with work.
oh, and behind the stage was many flights of stairs.
apparently it's not on the ground floor.
so our skit group walked down and down... passing by many soft toys hanging on the walls.
i think someone was singing Chipdale the Chipmunk to the tune of Jingle Bells...
ohoh, that was Dawn.
and some of the toys had no eyes.
-_-|||

it was VERY weird.
but fun.
i like dreaming and recounting it to people.

okay, shall have to get ready to go to NP.
gotta get the software installed.
ugh.

Sunday, March 30, 2008 6:21 pm

hey you all!
i'm now typing this post with my apple macbook! :]
i don't know why i can't use the internet with my home modem, maybe it's due to the settings or something.
i don't know.
but anyhow, at least i know it's not my baby's problem!
yes, my baby is my new MacBook!
WOOO!!!!
okay, i should have been psyched about this long ago since i've had it for two weeks now...
but yay!
i get to learn new things on my baby! ;]
okay, i'm starting to sound a lot girlier, more bimbotic.
ew.
i don't want to be Elena, PLEASE!

haha, no offense eh!
anyway, to answer your question, I THINK i may be going back for AhHong gege's wedding Elena!
It's on Vesak Day, and no doubt a school holiday, but there's deffo school the next day!
i COULD skip one day i guess...
hahaha!
we'll have to see about that.

i have never met his girlfriend though!
man, what a lousy cousin huh?
but i guess the age gap is too wide to be able to communicate well.
and also being in different countries doesn't help very much does it!
and i still can see on the wedding day!
maybe...
don't worry, if i go, i'll take pictures, just for you, and christine of course!!! ;}

quit work on friday.
man, it was bittersweet.
at least i won't get to see the other manager, for one.
but then i've made friends...or sort of friends there!
i don't think i made much of an impact as xy or dawn did, but hopefully i'm not forgotten!
man, i'd hate to think that i'm easily forgotten by people!
please tell me i've made a big impact in someone's life, somehow!!!! :/

meeting dawn and her gang tomorrow to get the software installed in my baby!
oh, and i need back to school stuff.
dang, vivo anyone? ;}

Friday, March 28, 2008 9:58 am

well, today might just be the last day of work for me.
xy, dawn and i are planning to quit after today.
don't know if they will let us do so, seeing as how they will have a serious staff shortage if we leave.
and the other manager might have issues with us just resigning like that.
hm, fingers crossed everything goes well.
don't want anything to go wrong.
school starting soon, getting a tad nervous at meeting new people and
learning new things and adapting to a new environment.
it's not that i'm not looking forward to it,
i'm just a little intimidated by the fact that people will judge you by first impressions.
and if many people go for the FMS camp, and i don't,
they may have already bonded, and it will be difficult to get into their circle!
i would love to go, but i'm supposed to go to Malaysia for qingming.
it's not compulsory, i mean; if i say i have the camp, i'll be let off.
OMG, i don't know what to do now.
feeling a little sick with a runny nose and a sore throat, ugh.
but woah! i saw danny noriega in AI yesterday!
i didn't think those who were booted out of the show would still get to watch it live.
so dumb of me.
haha.
hm, must ask dawn if she's going for TC5 concert!
anyone wanting to go? you're welcome to join!
okay, end of post.

Wednesday, March 26, 2008 1:54 pm

Yesterday after work I rushed down with xinyu to Wisma's FoodRepublic to meet up with TingTing, Dawn and surprisingly, JinHong.
Canida was feeling under the weather, and so couldn't make it.
Jin Kee came straight from school and met us at CineOrchard.

The Spiderwick Chronicles was really good, albeit a little creepy and scary at parts.
Well Dawn at least has someone to hold onto when the scary bits surface, haha!
:p

Anyway, work's been alright.
Attended a course on Service Language at 8 am this morning.
Like, I'm half-asleep and you're asking me to absorb so much!
Okay, I'm not complaining.
It was good to know the do's and don'ts.
I'll try my best to practise it in future.

Just found out that The Click Five are coming to Singapore to perform!
June 1st!
Well stoked, because I missed their last FREE gig, but now I may be able to go.
Now who's wants to go with me!?
I know I'll probably be free because it's on a Sunday! :}

yesyesyes!

Sunday, March 23, 2008 10:10 pm

Yesterday's dinner was steamboat with aunt's family and my family.
we had steamboat at this place near vivocity.
half laksa and half chicken stock.
it was alright.
the quail eggs were small and cute and delicious! ;]

Today we went out as a family to have lunch at Tiong Bahru and did some shopping at Popular.
Then we headed to VivoCity to get a pressure cooker.
Ended up getting a induction cooker as well.
Dinner was steamboat at home.
So last-minute, but quite homely.

Anyway, working tomorrow.
5 hours man.
The longest I've worked was 4 hours and that was a long long long time ago.
Haha.
I know I can do it!

Still deciding if I should take French.
MEH!

Okay, there's not much to say.

Friday, March 21, 2008 9:07 am

bonjour!
today is Good Friday, and the plan for today is to go tidy up my room.
and decorate it.
hm, I could get used to writing aligned center. :]
funfunfun!
anyway, work yesterday was hectic because most of the crew were newbies, sort of.
i made many booboos.
i guess without experienced people, it can be very taxing.
at least i could take orders, albeit a little slowly.
i mean, i don't even know half of the items on the friggin' menu!
and some customers asked for recommendations and i was dumbfounded.
ha.
awwwkwarddddd.
then because it was lunch hour and there were no tables available,
this group of customers wanted to order first.
and me, being me, just took their orders and they left after leaving their number.
and i got a reprimanding because we aren't supposed to take numbers.
meh, okay, so next time i know better.
then so many people asking for so many different things,
i got very confused.
i couldn't find the items to key into the system, and was stuck at the computer thingy,
for like, very long.
ugh, the feeling is not very nice.
frustrating even.
but i'm getting the hang of things.
slowly. :]
sad to say that school will be starting soon and it looks like i won't have time to work anymore.
out of the three of us, i have earned the least amount of money!
yeah, i'm lazy.
elena, send some money over!
or maybe buy some clothes and send some over!
anyway, has anyone noticed that Orlando Bloom has hit our tv screens?
He's in the latest spate of Corolla Altis ads.
SO HANDSOME CAN!
everytime i see him in the commercial i'd swoon.
haha, it's not everyday that you find Orlando invading your tv screens you know!
i absolutely love chick flicks!
i watched Princess Diaries on tv for like, the 329678943rd time yesterday.
lovelovelove it!
I always liked the book series, (especially Michael Moscovitz).
woooop.
okay, shall leave it at that.
byebye.

Tuesday, March 18, 2008 7:13 pm

well, check out the newest videos by clicking the fourth icon! :]

I know I said I wouldn't put Jesse's vid up here, but what the heck, I CHANGED MY MIND.
It has no meaning, but it's still good eye candy! ;}

6:09 pm

Yo surfers! :]

*gets into the hip hop mood*

I know it's been a little rough lately, without internet access and all that shizzle,
but I'm here now to B-L-O-G!

First things first:

Photobucket
Step Up 2: The Streets

Oh my goody the dance moves were... out of this world!
I mean, if I could dance like that, PHOAR!
Then again, I'm not actually interested in dancing.
I'd look awkward on a dancefloor.
BUT, that ain't the point!
Caught the show with my mother and saw TingTing, Dawn and their "escorts", what luck! :}
No, I didn't want to intrude so I never did go say hi.
I'm not being rude, am I?
Sorry if any of you were offended that I didn't go over! ;p
Back to the movie, some parts were quite funny, and overall I thought it was a good watch!

"It's not where you're from. It's where you're at."

Some lovely lines I'd like to recap, because it was meaningful.

"don't give up, just be you, because life's too short to be anybody else"

I thought Robert Hoffman and Channing Tatum were all hot!
Yay.

In the meanwhile, here's Jesse McCartney, <3.

Bought a pair of shoes to wear to poly; hm, starting to have second thoughts...
NO. WILL. NOT. HAVE. SECOND. THOUGHTS.

Sunday, March 16, 2008 10:30 am

Time has flown by so fast I haven't had time to even blog! :(
Hence, missing 12 of March where I could say;

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DANNY (MCFLY)!
It would have been accompanied by a picture of him but I'm using my dad's com and there are no pictures of him saved.
Meh.
Hope he had a great 22nd birthday. ;}

Anyway, I've got my MacBook.
Still struggling with all the things I have to do with it.
Can't even access the internet...yet.
I'm such a dumdum.
eeyerrrrrrrr.
And the Mac only seems to have Safari (which i have never in my life heard of before), not Internet Explorer.
I may sound like a noob, but I don't care.
The training program will be an excellent opportunity to either screw it all up or yay, get the stupid thing working.

There's nothing to say for now.
Maybe later!

Tuesday, March 11, 2008 10:12 pm

I'll make this a quickie.

Yesterday with the girls (you know who you are! :} ) was awesome! Glad we got to spend some quality time together, even if it was for a short while!
Next week will be even better! YES!!!
Caught August Rush and boy, was it amazing! I even teared!
Awwww!
I haven't actually eaten popcorn in a movie for a long time, and that was the first time in months! :o
Everyone should go catch August Rush if you can!
I really liked the sounds of the guitar and the music, and Jonathan Rhys-Meyers and Freddie Highmore!
We'll be seeing more of Freddie next week in The Spiderwick Chronicles!
Haha!!!!

Got to work today, and it was alright, not as bad as the last lunch hour I worked.
Still, I don't really like it!
Almost tripped a few times!
Asked someone to help me take orders from the WRONG table.
Scalded my hands twice because I touched the hot plates.
Ugh, okay, it was worse than the other times.
I kept making silly simple retarded mistakes and I got so flustered.
Oh yes! I was sending the bill to a lady for her to sign and I realised they didn't give me a pen.
I was about to get a pen when the lady indicated I had a pen in my apron pocket.
Like, WHY DID I FORGET ABOUT THAT!!!!!!!!
I HAVE to chill.
And it's like, among us three, I seem to be the one who's been really slow on the uptake.
I don't possibly seem to be as initiating, as fast-learning as I can be.
I'll try better tomorrow.
It's just sooo difficult sometimes.

On the other hand, I watched Heroes.
Chapter 17, Company Man, has got to be the most hard-hitting episode so far.
I have never cried so much while watching Heroes.
Claire is SOSOSOSOSO fortunate to have such a doting surrogate father!
Gosh, it really got to me. ;}

LOVEEEEEELOVEEEEEE.

this is one of my favourite parts in the movie.
SPOILERRRR!!!!
Whether it's really Freddie playing seems dubious to me, but it's really nice.

peace out!

xoxo

Saturday, March 08, 2008 9:58 pm

well, not much has been happening, save for the fact that i actually cried when Danny Noriega got voted off Idol.
Like, he was well cute okay?
Aw, but anyways, he's got the 'tude!
He was the spice of the show man!
Oh, and did anyone catch Survivor?????????
I didn't really like Survivor before, but it's actually quite interesting...
until you watch it too many times...which I haven't.

I'm not particularly sure about the Monday outing.
My mom may wanna go out! :/
Meh, maybe I'll join the girls in the afternoon?
yeah, I'll see how it goes. ;}

sad that I've gone back to the lazzzzzzzzzzy way of living life.
damn it.
HAVE to get work.

Here's the long awaited MV of Jesse McCartney's new single Leavin' in the meanwhile!

You might wanna know why I striked that out.
Well, I haven't actually seen the MV when I typed that, but after I watched it...
I AM SERIOUSLY DISAPPOINTED.
It's like... all hinting at sex.
Is this what Hollywood do to people?
Seriously, if you go watch it on youtube (I'm not posting it on my blog), you'll cringe.
I mean, okay, he's hot and everything in the video.
He's a grown man, yes, I can't deny that.
Still, I'm saddened by what that video implies.
SHAMELESS. That's what that video is shouting in bold red letters.
No offense to any fans or to the hottie himself.

oh well, but I guess this ain't a conservative world anymore...not really anyway.

Thursday, March 06, 2008 11:42 pm

funny shitxz man! ;}
And then i turned as red a cute little tomato.
haha, and the whatever sign, look out for when Randy does it, so funny! ;}
and the chicken wing part, LOL!
awww, Danny Noriega is so cute, and so myspace. ;}

lovelove for AI.

8:40 pm

Well, I have to say that I'm with no work for a week.
Total shitxz because I didn't call them up to tell them my schedule.
O.K. That's alright because I probably won't be in the mood next week to deal with work.
So I'll stay home and recuperate.

On the bright side of life, I LOVE SCRABBLE LIKE, TOTALLY LOVE IT! :}
I scored 117 once today! ;}
like, wickeeeeeeed.
because it was like, my mom put the word 'GRAVE' near the side where there are 2 triple word scores, so incidentally, I have the letters 'E', 'N', and 'D'.
Thus forming the word "ENGRAVED", with 2 triple word scores!
*SCOREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE*
In the end I got over 300 total so I am REALLY HAPPPPPPPPPPY! :}
wahhhhhhhoooooooooo, play SCRABBLE with me pleasepleaseplease!
I'll love you forever!!!!

Oh yeah, and I so wrote another song today!
It was kind of inspired by Taylor Swift, because I was watching her on the Ellen Degeneres (?) show and I really like her loads!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
or maybe it's because it's a rainy day! ;}
i really like it and hopefully when i get it down on the camera i'll post it up here! ;}

AND YES;
I LOVE AMERICAN IDOL!
I AM A SUCKER FOR REALITY SHOWS LIKE THAT, SO SUE ME! :s

Guess my favourites, go go!!!! I have about 3 to 4 favourites! ;}:}

catch ya all later!!!

xoxoxo

11:04 am

I have not been blogging these couple of days, all because I can't access blogger with the PC.
At least with my dad's laptop, I can still post whenever I can. :}

Right, so those curious about my job would love to know that I kind of enjoying it. :}
The people are quite funny, and although I may get flustered (like I did yesterday during lunch peak hour), I have yet to complain about anything! Well, except for the pay rate.
I should have well gotten a job with an office or a data entry thingy.
Oh well, must be positive! ;}

So far, I've done quite a bit of dish-clearing or bussing.
It's not that bad, except for the fact that I may break something at any time!
Eek, I wouldn't like that to happen anytime soon.
When I worked yesterday, many things got broken, because one of the kitchen crew was clearing the dirty dishes stacked into a container, and I think it must have slipped or something, and it went *piaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnggggggggggggggggggg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*
Shards of glass fell to the floor, at least there weren't many people then.

Wow, I have to say that the lunch hour has the MOST customers ever!
They just keep on coming, and it's the first time that the whole place was packed!

That's when I got flustered, because I would keep trying to find something to do, (because I don't want to get caught not doing anything) and the customers would keep calling, and I would panic because I don't know how to take orders, and oh my god I didn't know what to do and I was scared they would get annoyed or get angry with me... I almost broke a glass because of my subtle nervousness. Luckily I caught it in time. *phew*

I got tasked to fill tea bags after the lunch crowd thinned. It was quite fun because the camomile, peppermint, rose buds, earl grey and english breakfast tea smelt great! :p
I did get a bruise on my hand though, because the water jug hurt the back of my hand when I carried it around trying to fill customer's glasses.

Amount Earned So Far (If I'm Right): $50.00 (yay!)

Okay, enough about work!
I would love to say more, but I have nothing left to report.
So I'll leave it at that!

PS: (Elena, YOUR BIRTHDAY IS COMING!!!! AND YOU WON'T BELIEVE WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN!!!)

Monday, March 03, 2008 3:21 pm

CRAP!

all the things I wrote down for a post is gone.

FORGET IT!

i'm in one hell of a bad mood right now.

Saturday, March 01, 2008 5:41 pm

Just remembered that yesterday was February 29.
Yay, something that only appears once every four years and I have a post dated on that day!
Hurray for me! :)

Work yesterday was not as scary as I thought it would have been, but it was still intimidating!
I hid myself in the toilet for about 15 minutes before I went to report for my shift. The people there were, quite friendly. I was expecting loads of people because there was supposedly a reservation but then they cancelled last minute. Thank God, or I would have already dropped dead there and then. I got briefed on their practices and everything, and I only had to clear dishes and glasses on my first day, as well as clean tables and some other simple stuff. I mean, it IS a lot to remember, so much so that I think I will have to write it down later in a handy notebook, so that I can refer to it from time to time. Hopefully I will be able to recall everything that I was told LAST NIGHT. They actually give free staff meals if you work till closing time, which is 10pm, kinda cool. Oh, and I got back pain from standing too long. This has been happening for some time now. Maybe I have chronic back pain or something, eep. Besides that, I guess my tongue got tied somehow when I was talking to customers, asking their permission to clear their dishes. GRR. I have to master the talking part. Other than that, I did not break anything, but I tripped on my apron a few times while walking up the steps, so I took note of walking SLOWER when I'm walking up those steps. I wish I could earn more money though. :( I should have chosen an office job, come to think of it now. MEH. I guess learning some waitressing skills ain't that bad either. They gave me a temporary nametag which had the name 'FREDA' on it. As a result, while I was serving some customer, the guy thanked me like so: "Thank you...Freda." Hahha, and I just gave him a humourless smile because I was concentrating on the dishes I had in my hand!!! That was a classic moment. I guess that customer must have been thinking, "Hm, why is this Chinese girl called Freda?" LOL!!
And everyone there thought I was REALLY REALLY nervous. EEK. Maybe I shouldn't show that side of me.

Amount Earned So Far: $20.00

My next shift is on MONDAY next week from 7 to 10pm. Oh well, BRACE myself!

Got my enrolment package!
HOOBOY.

later!
