First things first, I WROTE A SONG!
finally! like, after so damn long!
It's not very long, or anything.
but i FINALLY got over writer's block!

Next, I'm really starting to feel nervous.
Hell, when I get nervous, I get really bad stomachaches.
makes me wanna sing;

*ooh, this is an S.O.S*

EEEEEEEEEEP.

Thursday, February 28, 2008 12:17 pm

i am starting to feel the jitters again.
xinyu and dawn have the same shift TONIGHT,
and my shift is like... TOMORROW NIGHT.
like, why am i so unlucky to be flying solo?
but i know i cannot be so dependable on friends, or anyone for that matter.
i MUST learn to be independent, or what is to be of me when i head overseas to study?
that is, if i can get overseas.
so, what i should do is forget about it for today, and GO for it tomorrow night.

A NEW SONG!
it's titled ' Leavin' '.
OH MY GOSH, IT SOUNDS REALLY REALLY GREAT! :D
And his new album is coming out 20 may 08, called Departure.
the downside is that i think the album cover looks a little like Harry Potter-ish. :o

this is the acoustic version, the woman beside him looks so nonchalant.
if i were beside JESSE MCCARTNEY, i'd be like... ohmyfgoodness, is he real? haha!
i guess i'd be stunned into silence.

i loveeeeeeeeeeee him. <3

11:03 pm

aside from being really sad that i'm never going to see mcfly while they're down under (which is really only 7 hours from Singapore), let's shift our attention to the ever stylish, handsome jesse mccartney. ;}

can you hear the new song in the background?
it's sounding GOOOOOOOD.
and look at his haircut.
OMGAH, so grown-up, polished looking. ;}
ELENA, eat your heart out because i found him first so he's ALL MINE! :D

kidding. ;}

enjoy, i might be up with more later!

xo

3:01 pm

JUST ONE THING TO SAY.
I HAVE BEEN DISCONNECTED FROM THE OUTSIDE WORLD FOR SO LONG!

I KNEW MCFLY WERE IN AUSTRALIA TO RECORD THEIR NEW ALBUM OR SOMETHING...
BUT THEY PLAYED GIGS THERE!!!!
OHMYGOD, AND THEY ARE STILL IN SYDNEY, AND THEY HAVE ANOTHER GIG ON MARCH 1st!!!!

LIKE, THEY'RE SO CLOSE!
SO SO SO CLOSE, BUT STILL SO FAR!!!!!

I think I might cry just about now.

http://mcfly.forums.umusic.co.uk/t/19380.aspx

check the pictures and videos out and the review too.
makes one freaking jealous. :(

You know, I wonder if I’m really cut out for this, mass communications. See, I’m not really that great a writer. I mean, okay, I try to use big words whenever I can; I put my punctuations correctly; I write in good grammatically correct English… but when I read what I write, I somehow feel the feeling is missing. Some writers can write refreshingly good stories, with a fantastical storyline and maybe inject some humour while they’re at it. The feeling they want to portray, the message they want to put out to readers… it’s there, you know? That’s what I need. I want people to feel strong emotions when they read my stuff, and that shall be my goal.

On another note, just caught the 80th Annual Academy Awards! It was quite funny at times. The host, Jon Stewart, provided comic relief to the show, making it less boring than it would have been. I really liked the song performance by Jon McLaughlin. He sang ‘So Close’!!! You know, the future wedding song that I’m going to waltz to, if I ever learn how to waltz. Lol.

Anyway, work starts on Friday this week and I’m really, really scared I’ll mess things up. I think I said it before. It’s just that I keep having these visions before I sleep these nights, and then I will toss and turn. :} Elena! I need some tips from you, expert! ;}

Trying to paint my school shoes white is going quite well. I’m 90% done with the first one. Looks weird though, ugh.

I wonder if anyone knows how to make a podcast? A tutorial would be lovely. ;}
I’m gonna get an Apple notebook soon, thanks to Mass Comm!
YAY!!!!!!

Adios!

The internet’s still not showing signs of improvement, so I can only type my entries in Word and copy and paste it on my blog. Even then, it may stop halfway, and my entries might not show. Really must get someone to repair this soon…

I just watched Around the World in 80 Days, starring Jackie Chan. There were cameo roles by Luke and Owen Wilson, as well as Daniel Wu, Karen Mok and Arnold Swa-can’t-pronounce-nor-spell-his-surname-negger. It was horrendously funny. Loved it, even though it wasn’t actually true to the book.

Last few days of school in JJ, and I really ought to cherish it. Guess I’ll never be able to experience the JC life very soon.

I’ve recently heard this song, that’s on American Idol by the way, and some lyrics are ‘Hollywood is not America’, or something like that. If anybody knows the singer or the title of the song, it’d be nice to let me know! It’s quite lovely. ;]

Quite a number of movies I’d like to catch this month, but no one seems to be free to watch it with me. I’ve heard Jumper isn’t good, so DON’T WATCH IT people! :] But if you want to waste your money, go ahead. PS I Love You and Juno are what I want to watch right now! ;] Yay! My first NC16 movie and I hope it’s memorable! ;]
I wanna watch Enchanted again! LOL.

Things I have not done, EVER:-Watch my first NC16 movie in a cinema
-Taken Neoprints
-Eaten at Mos Burger
-Eaten at Sakae Sushi
-Sat on a rollercoaster that goes 360 degrees around
-Visited UK or America

Well, the list goes on, but these are some I haven’t done. Quite an eye-opener huh? You’d have never thought I have never eaten at Mos Burger, or taken Neoprints, not that I actually want to or whatever.

Okay, enjoy what’s left of the weekend, and get ready for MONDAY! :]

Remember there was one time where i was asking for a song with the lyrics
'Hollywood is not America', because i heard it on radio and American Idol Season 7?

Well I found it! ;}
It's titled Hollywood's Not America, and sung by Ferras, a 25 year old guy.
He's really good on piano! ;}

This is a really really neat song! ;}
so go listen!

hm, i wrote another post a few days ago on Word, but it's on the PC, so i can't post it here.
i'm using my dad's laptop at the moment to tide over this internet crisis.
oh it really sucks not having the net at your beck and call.

so i got posted to NgeeAnn Poly Mass Communications.
expected, but it's so weird not going to JJ anymore.

latest things that have happened are that I wanted to go for YOG,
but i ended up not going, because of a bad back and laziness.

went out with Dawn and Xin Yu today to get a job.
was planning to get the Robinsons job, but while waiting till 2,
we decided to try Coffee Club.
and we got the job.
but the timing's DIFFERENT!!!!!
i don't like that.
a foreign environment, ALONE!
i know i'll have to do it sooner or later, but WHY ALONE!!!!

so i've got a waitressing job at the Coffee Club that pays 5bucks an hour and the shift's like 2 to 3 hours every Monday to Friday.
joy.

fingers crossed i'll not screw it all up.

i wrote this yesterday.

Friday, 15 February 2008

Okay, I believe I have not been updating this page for a while now, because of that STUPID friggin’ internet connection that has decided to finally conk out on me. Like, for no rhyme or reason, it just snapped. I wonder if it’s some kind of virus or whatever. I really really hate to harp on this but I’m tired of being without some PROPER internet system. It’s driving me up the wall!!!!!!!!!!!!! *pulls hair*

Anyway, Valentine’s Day was sadly spent at home because I was too lazy to get my arse out of the bed, let alone the house, haha. So yeah, Justine was so kind as to keep some of the gifts for me. I haven’t seen her since Wednesday though…

Hm, I went to the library on Thursday. Yeah, spent like an hour and a half aimlessly wandering through the shelves and shelves of books that I eventually took no interest in.
I’m a sad, sad, case. I ended up quickly copying a really really enticing recipe. The pictures really made me want to do it and eat it! Haha.

I then went to those Self-Automated Machines outside the post office because I wanted to buy stamps and the queue inside was pretty long, so I really didn’t want to queue up.
Thing is I tried the first time, and it couldn’t work properly, so when I tried the second time, the idiotic machine had the cheek to eat up the 50 cents that I put in! Like, what the fish man! Talk about bad luck! I had no choice but to go queue up, for like 15 minutes just for 2 miserable stamps. GRR.

Next thing that happened was I was going to buy back lunch, and I originally had 3 bucks in my pocket. When I fished my money out, it was like, only a 2 dollar note! Where did the freaking one dollar go?!?! I was so fed up I came back starving. DAMN IT. It just ruined my whole day. And V Day at that! Oh well, I never expected much of V Day in the first place anyway.

Today at school, there were like, really few people. I was obviously the good girl and went for all classes. GP was interesting. The teacher let us watch a video which was quite graphic in a sense that they showed what teenagers were doing during Spring Break in America. And all sorts of things related to pop culture. It’s called ‘The Merchants of Cool’. Quite interesting if you overlook the graphical parts and I can use it in essays next time… but not for GP since I won’t be taking it. Aw.

The math test wasn’t as easy or difficult as I thought. It was neutral I guess. Since I didn’t study at all for it, I guess I was lucky to have gotten best 13 out of 15. Made lots of mistakes though. It was really boring during Chinese. All these unknown people came into class and made so much noise I couldn’t concentrate on my worksheet. GRR.
Then the one hour wait was painful since only Jessica and I were there. BORING to the max.

Met up with Canida, Dawn, TingTing and XinYu at VivoCity later at 5pm, so if you think you saw me there, YES IT IS ME! :] It was really nice to see some really familiar faces for a change, if you know what I mean.

Wanted to catch a movie, either Juno or PSILY, but the tickets were sold out… only front row were left, and it was weekend rates, so we went to eat Superdog instead. After, we went to the rooftop part with the water and all to chitchat. Suddenly I overheard Canida and Dawn talking about something! Juicy gossip!

Okay, so we had a girls-only kind of talk, haha. So fun with the natural wind blowing and only the light from a short lamp and some faint background lightings nearby. We should do that like, more often yeah? :] Shocking news from Dawn, like, okay, maybe a little old, but… I DIDN’T KNOW okay?! I shan’t say it out, so I will not be called a blabbermouth!
Oops. It was a really nice gathering and I say we do it again sometime! It’s better than watching some silly movie. :] Had a really nicenicenice time! ;]

So, on another note, school-wise, I guess I was quite blind to not notice the things that were happening around me. And naïve, in a way that I would assume… Not that I really give a hoot much.
Okay, maybe a little disappointed with the way things turned out. I’m sad I’ll be leaving soon, after results come out and all. That’s what friends are for, really. Some secrets are not meant to be shared, because these secrets may hurt or cause misunderstandings between people. And that’s not what we all want, right? I have secrets, of course I do. Big ones, little ones, teeny bitty nitty gritty ones. All in all, I just want to let you know that it’s for the best. You never did know me anyway. If you get the above, please don’t let it out. Let them unravel this riddle by themselves. Or rather, let it be kept this way forever. ;]

I never seem to be able to do what I promised myself to do. Open up. I’m still that bumbling, awkward 13 year old girl trapped in a 16 year old body. Maybe that’s why no one’s looking this way. I’m not trying to be negative, or putting myself down. It’s just the way I feel, and I’m trying to let it out. I mean no harm whatsoever. Whatever you want to know about me, you can actually find it here. There’s like… 4 years of info that you can get from here about me, be it redundant or not.

I envisioned it to be different when I got out of secondary school. To put such a huge challenge in front of me, I maybe overestimated myself. I felt daunted, I chickened out. I did try, but it’s too much because I keep thinking about what they are thinking about me. You savvy? Aw, this is too many emotions in one day. Just thinking about why I actually first thought that way… it’s unbelievable. I just dived straight into it, without finding out. I was scared. I honestly was, and really, maybe I’m afraid of knowing the truth, or facing rejection. How am I going to live in the scary outside world? I’ll be alone.

valentine's day is coming!
and i ain't got a valentine.
but that's pretty much okay, because i never did have any for 15 years of my life, so this year's not going to be any different!

i'll see if i can write a song though.
hopefully, keep your fingers crossed! ;}

heyhey!
;}
haven't been blogging for a pretty long time now!
it's not that i don't want to, honestly! ;}
i've just been busy with CNY and what with the stupid internet connection over at my house. :(
i'm right now at HILLARY's house! (take that, elena!)
haha, adults out eating durians.
lol.
cept my dad.
hil and sis watching some jap show.

okay, an update on what has been happening during CNY.
admitably, it has been quite a quiet affair this year, because beloved Christine and irritating Elena are both missing.
we miss ya both really.
i know i sounded real awkward on the phone!
haha!

anyway, big haul this year in terms of money and red packets!
this year i got 30 over red packets.
never hit anything past the big 30 before, so definitely a first!
wish there are many many more in years to come, haha!
well, with miscellaneous amounts like rewards for doing well in O levels and whatnot,
i have a grand total of RM 876.

PRETTY nice number huh? ;]
i'm probably going to save it all... or buy a cd or two this year!
haha!
yiiiiiiiiiippeee.
hope everyone's new year's been goooooooooood. ;}

it's over so fast though... wish i could have relived it again!
first day was spent at first pepe's house eating vegetarian food.
the reunion dinner the day before wasn't all that great, but it was my dad's birthday that day, so there was durians and a cake Ah-San jiejie made.
first day after eating 'zhai', we went different ways.
so second day was eating meat, prawns, etc... the soup was reallllly delicious!
i think i had three bowls!
haha. record no?
pig stomach soup or something like that.
there was durian cake which Ah-San jiejie made, again!
haha! verrrrrrrrrrrrrry nice, had two slices!

third day, which is... today right?
yeah, hillary, sis and me went to eat at Marco's Pizza, damn good.
i think i've never eaten that much pizza for a long time.
the pepperoni one was quite weird though.
eeeyuck.

walked around at 1 utama next.
didn't buy much.
ate A&W, typical! ;}
haha.

pictures/videos cant be up yet.
sorry!

oh yes, i wanna apologise for not being able to attend the new year celebrations at JJ on wednesday...
i was already in malaysia.
haha, i really wanted to be there though!
so... ya! :}

going back tomorrow, sadsadsad.
oh well, guess i'll end of here for now. :(

don't know when i can blog again.
feel weird typing on a different computer too.
sucks.

k, peace out and have a happy CNY.

xoxo

PS: floss eats pomelo. :}

Friday, February 01, 2008 7:36 pm
