who knew watching 20 cars racing round a track 61 times could be so exciting? yes, i am talking about the Formula 1 Night Race in Singapore! which is where i am in right now! i watched it on tv though, the race; and i can say it was realllllly loads of drama. i guess it's the first F1 race i've ever watched, and a spectacular one it was! Lewis Hamilton came in 3rd, and he's like, one of the most well-known racers? well, at least i've seen and heard of him before!
I though Massa was just really unlucky. ;( he probably gave up after the fuel incident at the pit stop. sad. and his teammate! crashed his car a little before the end of the race! Ferrari has been damn unlucky!
but i loved the race. cool cool. and to think i was skeptical at first. mehhhhhhh :D

sorry for the outburst, but i guess i'm experiencing suppressed emotions right now. or something of that sort.
but anyway, i wanted to blog about a dream i had today! like, seriously random but whatever.
so in the dream, i was supposedly in new york city out on the streets yeah? and i was standing at the sidewalk, and there's this road i was going to cross. and there was a traffic light. standing beside me was funnily enough, penn badgley from gossip girl. so weird. but it gets weirder. when the man turned green, i started to walk, but then PB grabbed my hand and started walking too. like wtf right? it felt sweaty to be honest. and he wouldn't let go no matter how hard i tried to shake him off, so i had to let him hold my hand and walk me across the street.
stupid dream huh? okay. at least you'll get a laugh out of it i suppose.

i have been watching this british series SKINS of late. :} it's really fucked up. the dialogue is decorated with these amazing brit swear words, and it's quite funny and touching sometimes! it's just that a quarter of the time i can't actually make out what some of them are saying. my god, how am i going to survive if i get to the uk? i can't even get past the brit accent. eep. i guess i'll have to make a better effort then! but it's a pretty interesting show, cept' for the nudity and all. i mean, HOW do they DO it? they make it look effortless, stripping on set. ew. gross. i think Chris is quite nice, as is Jal and Cassie and Sid. okay, nuff said.
i had a dream, or rather 2 different ones last night... or this morning.. i dreamt that i wore my nanhua school uniform and went back to nanhua when school reopened. not back to ngee ann poly you know?! like, damn weird. and i was texting someone these swear words. and i couldn't get out of the school because the gates were closed and assembly was starting and everything. i forgot what happened but there was something about running down staircases. don't remember.
the next one was weird enough. i think i was with my family and my aunt's family. we were somehow wanting to take the cable car. it cost 56 dollars a person... somehow we ended up in a lift and this cat came in, and the lift door was closing and the cat walked out, and almost got squeezed by the lift doors... then because of that the lift doors opened and stayed open while it travelled not UP or DOWN but straight... like... charlie and the chocolate factory. horribly weird. then we were all scared that someone would fall out. then we all somehow got off onto the tracks and slid down to ground level.
then i saw at the corner all this food. there was crab. like deep fried crab that was red in color. very weird. then somehow i was in this state where i somehow knew that Adam Khoo was killed. yeah, so random right? ADAM KHOO. ew. but anyway... only i knew that he was killed and someone was going to pretend to be him and come back to our house. because Adam Khoo lived in our house. then my family were all doing their own thing and then someone started opening the door. i ran into the kitchen and i opened the cabinet next to the fridge. there was a GUN in there. so i took it out, but i didn't know how to use it; but by that time "Adam Khoo" was in the house and he went back to his room? i went to talk to my dad and pulled out the gun and told him to kill him. but then i think "Adam Khoo" overheard us, and i was damn scared that he would kill us or something. but then he said if we didn't say anything he wouldn't do anything? i tried shooting him from behind but there was no bullet... or probably because i didn't know how to use a gun. but anyway, "Adam Khoo" left with the keys that the real but dead Adam Khoo had... so i told my family to change the locks and everything, but they were so nonchalant about it... then i forgot what happened. probably woke up.
HA. it was ALL A DREAM THOUGH. seriously. no harm intended or no offense to any portrayal of the characters in my dream, whether real, dead, alive... whatever. you know. it was JUST A DREAM. don't sue me.

a review of Jesse's latest album Departure:
No doubt Jesse has chosen to explore the more R&B side to him with his latest album Departure. People have been comparing him to the likes of Usher, which of course I personally believe to be ridiculous. (He's better than Usher!) Departure has more vulnerability and one can tell just by listening to the album that Jesse McCartney has put his best foot forward and his efforts have definitely paid off.
The first track Leavin' set a balance between the sound of his sophomore effort and the new paths he has taken with his music. It still holds a rocking tune, a catchy chorus and the music video is definitely one side of him that fans have never seen.
Songs like Not Your Enemy, It's Over, Told You So are the songs that lean more to the balladry side but still captures soul. Jesse's voice in these tracks are very well placed and you will soon find yourself humming to the tunes unconsciously.
Tracks with more beat and very different from his last two albums are Makeup and Freaky. They have a more R&B feel to it and are also quite enjoyable at a party.
Lastly, my favourites on this particular album would be How Do You Sleep and the track he co-penned with OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder and originally sung by Leona Lewis of X-Factor fame, Bleeding Love.
All in all, a 4.5 out of 5 for me for Departure, 0.5 deducted for the astrosity of the cover design. He should sack the designer of the cover art, hideous, but nevertheless, a wonderful album that leaves me wanting more.

okay so on the bus ride home i immediately noticed that these 2 other girls were looking at me. you know, the feeling you get when you think people are talking about you? yeah, it was like that. i don't know, it's probably me jumping to conclusions so easily. but i can't help but feel that they were talking about me, possibly condemning me in some way or another. i hate feeling this overwhelming insecurity. it just hits me in these situations and it keeps bugging me.
but i shall stop dwelling on the stupid stuff. today was bugis with ky and lunch with mel! i was early, so i went into this shop where i was the only customer. obviously i was listening to my ipod and all, and wasn't exactly paying attention to the products in the store. but the overly helpful sales assistant came over and starting telling me about the new products and shizz. i mean, i don't mean to sound rude or ungrateful or whatever, but leave me alone! it was sooooo awkward because i could tell they were staring at me. the intensity of the staring probably could burn a hole in my back... so i got out... albeit awkwardly.
went to gramaphone where i saw jonas brothers "a little bit longer" selling for 16.95! and jesse mccartney's departure too! cheapest i have seen ever! guess which one i bought! :}
heh. :} gosh he's hot. so after that i met ky and mel to have lunch at this fish&chippy place after painstaking decisions. :} had chicken spaghetti, which totally defeated the purpose of being in a fish&chippy place. it was quite good!
then mel went back to work and ky and i went shopping! kinokuniya was having a 20% sale and i bought PRINCESS DIARIES! the ninth book finally came out in paperback; i have been waiting for foreverrrrrr. i am going to read it soon! 8 dollars was a definite steal. :}
so then we walked and shopped around... and they had a sale at dc super heroes, which is normally horrendously expensive! like 45 dollars for the shirt i bought, but it was selling for 9 dollars now! yay! of course i bought SOMETHING! but i only found one to my liking, meh. great great! i am happy because i bought a sale item. VERY CHEAP too!
then to bugis street to find a vest! i think i almost BOUGHT one.. but then we didn't get anything after 1 hour of aimless wandering. my back was aching as well from standing too long. so we went back to bugis and ate FRIES at YELLA FELLAS! pictures soon i hope! then home where i am now!
got my long overdue pay cheque! :p 100 dollars. :} yay! great day today!

it's not a bad thing i guess, but when it comes to wanting to buy stuff, it just gets very very annoying. because i OBVIOUSLY want to get it, but can't bear to let go of my money. i mean, if it was someone else's money... it'd totally be a different story. i think it's something to do psychologically.
you can't bear to spend your own money, but if it's someone else's, you just hand it over to the cashier effortlessly, like it's free or something. to put it in a less forgiving light, i guess you could say it's STINGY. meh, i don't know... i prefer to call it THRIFTY? but intensely so. so much so that all the money that gets passed to me ends up almost all in the bank.
AND DON'T GO THINKING that i have millions in my savings account that i can't take any money out of once i put any in...because i don't.

today i had a really vivid dream.
apparently we were in malaysia (me, mom, sis) and my mom was driving.
god knows that she will NEVER drive in malaysia if she can help it but, anyway;
we were at sri petaling, at the mobil petrol kiosk pumping petrol.
we were deciding on which petrol thingy to pump, because they have 3 different ones.
and while we were deciding, the car suddenly started itself and drove off.
at first we thought it amusing that the car would just go by itself.
then i saw this man who was smugly waving out of the car as he drove it away.
STOLEN!
under our very eyes...
with all our wallets and passports and whatnot inside!
then i saw the police station (miraculously) which was beside the petrol station.
so we reported the case and they said they'd find it asap.
after that i don't exactly know what happened but somehow, we were walking/transported to this
jammed up road.
i think we received news that the police spotted the car and it was stuck in traffic.
ha.
so somehow we all ended up home...?
i saw a couple of people i knew somewhere along...
and suddenly we were in a classroom?
or a room of sorts..
my sis got a call...
and she was shouting "It's done! It's done!"
or whatever...
and yeah, they caught the guy and our car was fine, valuables intact....
then i woke up and went to the market with my mum.
LOL.
