i've never felt so friggin' tired for a long time! i mean, not to sound like a spoiled brat who doesn't lift a finger or anything... but work is taxing. how am i supposed to survive like 30, 40 years of "slogging it out"? Oh my god, if this is what we do with our lives, what is the meaning of it anymore? Isn't life what they always say, "to live it to the fullest", to make the most out of it and whatnot? Then why the hell am I earning and saving money that I may never get to spend if I work myself so hard I fall sick and conk out? Maybe the life of a wanderer would be best. Travelling round the globe, and earning money as I go along to pay for my expenses and stuff. Never having a permanent home, always on the move. Life might be difficult, but it will be an eye-opener. Like a nomad, that's what everyone should do. I've always dreamt of a life that I can never have, maybe that's why it's called a dream, innit? Yeah.
But yeah, had Superdog! :o It's sooooooo good, can eat again man! I think Ky felt that one wasn't enough ahahahahah. :D
Not much to do at work since it rained and scared all the customers away :(
Okay, I'm going to watch Blood Diamond later and then sleep the Monday blues away!

hello all! for your information, i am knackered! like seriously. a wave of tiredness has just spread over me. i think it has been accumulating since the advert exam. :o i should sleep soon, but let me blog about today first.
met Ky & Mel in Pasir Ris to find this bistro/bar place for a job interview. We all got jobs as waitresses. But zomg, at Pasir Ris... I mean it's okay for me but Ky... :/ But let's all go into this in as positive as an attitude that we can muster. My previous experience has somewhat scarred me, but nonetheless, I shall wander into the lion's cave once again, seeking the treasure I once tried to find. The food over there's pretty good, but quite secluded, yet cooling and there are HORSES nearby so it's pretty okay! Plus, don't have a strict work uniform!
After, we went to the new Tampines 1 mall, & Ky bought 2 pairs of slippers from Billabong and Everlast. -_- to quote her, "No one should ever give (her) a card," because it makes her spend like crazy. We only left her to her own defences for like what, 5 minutes to go to Giordarno and she already bought another pair. :o The first pair she bought was also decided really quick. :o Gosh, don't people ever stop to breathe anymore around here? The world's spinning way too fast for my liking.
I'm scared I'll screw up. Omg, I am a perfectionist when I say that right? Am I? Gah!!!
Anyway, I shall leave it at that. Later! :|
I'm looking out for a smile that hasn't shown in a while;

Yay! My create post page looks perfectly okay right now, both on Firefox and Safari! I went to google my problem and apparently I'm not the only one suffering. Seems like many SingNet users are complaining about the 'create post' page being all screwed up and stuff. Oh and wait! I've updated this post editor to the newest version! Wow, looks pretty awesome now, like when you shine your car and there's this new-ness to it? Like it's clean and all? It's all in the perception, people! My mind's warped. & I can post titles now! I will never underestimate the Help button ever again! :)
Anyway, where do I begin, after my long voyage in search of a new webnest to call my home, only to find weeks later that home has always been right before me. Which basically means I'm back to square one but I don't mind at all! I can't envision myself blogging regularly anywhere else besides on blogger anyways! :) Yay I love you blogger so you better not die on me now! :)
Beware of a long post, I'm going to start from after my cousin left for the states, which was 9th August. :) So memorable because it was National Day. Good choice ah Elena! Now I'll never forget when you left me. :'( hahaha, kidddddding.
Oh yeah, there were so many photos that she took of her trip back to Malaysia on facebook and stuff, and during Singapore, I've got a few photos here:
that will be Anya, Elena, Hillary and ME!!! I look sad. :(
but Hillary's eyebrows make me laugh, so cute la your "sadbrows"
One for each of us! (L-R)
Sticky Chewy Chocolate, Butterscotch, Strawberry, Cookies 'N' Cream, Blackforest
The blackforest I chose. :D
Okay, I'm going to watch CHRISTOPHER LEE!!!! Will blog again later! :)
Saving post!
x
Okay am back!
So where was I.
Oh right.
When they all went back (US, Malaysia whatnot), and all the facebook pictures were up, there was this flurry of commenting going on that one night.
Haha, and I remember how we thought about our company we were going to set up!
the amount of notifications i got. :o
More like New York City, London and some say Paris, Milan! :)
& we shouldn't use Kon Squared, sounds so construction-ish.
BAHAHAHA. :)

What else happened, oh yeah, the exams were sad. Like, oh my god why me sad. I guess I overestimated my ability to cram a gazillion chapters into my malfunctioning brain in just 4 days. MRM was fine, I mean, I had a week to study for it... I kind of worried too much for MRM and neglected Advert. Which brings me to my plight today. :( Exams may be over, but I am helluva not happy. :( I screwed up, what can I say?
I took coffee at night, couldn't sleep, and whilst in bed trying to sleep, I thought of Advert, and slowly everything I learnt before just slipped out of my mind. Like seriously, it felt like the memory thread thingy that Dumbledore always pulled out of his forehead? Like threads of Advert notes like those slipping away from my mind! :o I guess my brain just fizzled out, because in the exam room I looked at the questions and went OHNO. OHNO. OHNO. I know this I know this I know this, but I can't remember.
BLANK.NADA.ZILCH.
So that explains my sadness. :(
---
But on to slightly more happy things, I can now plan what I wanna do with my holidays! I was thinking of doing some D-I-Y stuff, but I said I'd do it last year, so... WELL I SHALL STICK TO IT! My project for this sem break I guess! Keeps me going y'know, since I can't go on a holiday, not even to Malaysia because nobody's free and schedules always clash! :(
---
The recent V Festival in the UK was pretty awesome! There was Lily Allen, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift & McFly!!!! UK has all the greatest things :(
I mean, T-swift & McFly?!?!? GAH!!!! I'd kill for that concert man!
C'mon! Look at them! So awesome! I love love love love love them to bits and schmidts!
Look, they are SOOOOOOO adorable when it comes to kids! :D Danny hug! Like seriously so amazing they are! :)
Taylor Swift at the V festival! :o I found the starting quite fake. :/ Oh well.
& i found some cool new music! :D Pixie Lott, she's pretty cool! The video's pretty awesome, as in HD is always awesome, but the tune's catchy! & I like the shoes she wears and some of the clothes!
GLORIANA!!! I wish their album was out here, I would get it! :D I mean, the guitar had so many strings!!!! :o
& Gabe Bondoc, Taylor Swift recently said on twitter that she really fancied this version of Love Story, and I couldn't agree more. But I found out about him before she tweeted, so haha, pretty cool hur!!!! ;D I like how he always says "Hello" in this cutest way! :D
omgxzxzxz so awesome no?! Her boots!!! :o
Taylor goes Goth? HAHAHAHAH.
Okay, I'm tired, and I feel that today's post has been mega-awesome, so you enjoy la!

i'm really rethinking changing blogs. this is so infuriating, i mean, the create post page is always screwed up for some reason, and i can't post pictures and stuff. :(
maybe livejournal's my calling. :s
i won't update because blogger's screwed and that sucks and pisses me off.

Yay! All assignments are done and over with! Now we're just left with 2 majorrrrr exams to study for, but it already feels like the holidays are here!!! :) I think I can afford a couple of days break :p
Anyway, this weekend, Elena came to SINGAPORE! Along with her parents, Hillary and also her host sister Anya. They arrived like late last Friday, when everyone was asleep and everything... then on Saturday my mom & I went with my aunt to the local roti prata shop to eat the tissue prata that I craved for! :p & I had TEH! :D Haha, then went back to try to finish my newswriting to no avail and then my mom and I went out, my sister was sick so she got left at home ho ho. So the adults went to Chinatown to shop while the kids, aka Yingying, Hillary, Elena, Anya and I, took the MRT to Orchard Road!!! :D
Okay the create post box is giving me hell, I don't like writing in this!!! :(
Anyway, Orchard Road was bloody crowded, and since the Ion opened, the MRT area has totally changed in my opinion, so it was like the blind leading the blind. :/ I couldn't find my bearings!!! I felt so lost, and the Ion is HUGE, with so many things and shops and people. We ended up in Borders haha, and then found our way back to Ion where we went to Starbucks to have a short snack. OMG, the blueberry muffin sample they laid out was SO AWESOME! SO MOIST AND DELICIOUS. remind me to go back and buy it for real! :) So we stayed there for awhile, then window-shopped a lot. There was this really awesome pair of heels at C&K!!! Half-price @ $49? It was so gorgeous!!! I like looking at heels but I can't wear them at all, so sad innit? Anyway, I wouldn't have anything to wear it with.
So yeah, my cousin is the best la! It was so nice hanging out with them, it seemed like forever though I didn't really show it! :p Took a little getting used to k :) Yeah, but we had lunch at the foodcourt. Damn it, queues EVERYWHERE. Thus I conclude that we should NEVER. NEVER. NEVER. go to Orchard during the weekends. Lunch was pretty awesome, because I got some dimsum (Anya wanted some as well) The EGG TART!!!! not too bad, the CHAR SIEW BAO was amazing, and no wonder because after that I remembered the dimsum place was actually from HongKong!!!! :D I also ordered carrot cake, which wasn't THAT bad, but it wasn't awesome either. :/ Heh!
After lunch we wandered around and found UNIQLO!!!! Omg, it was like squeezing with sardines, seriously. The amount of people there can just suffocate people. ;o Saw this basic sweater thingy that cost 20 bucks. 2 cousins bought it, I almost did, so maybe I might go back and get it, for real. ;)
Then we decided it was too crowded and left to Wisma, Forever21-ed, then went to Kinokuniya for a bit, & then headed to Heerens' Macs. The fries there aren't great. Not at all. I thought there would be a McCafe! :( Maybe it was outside? :/ Oh well, don't eat the fries there. We ate a lot of fries during the weekend hahaha! :D HMV was okay, then we took a bus home!
The adults were all waiting for us, and then we went to a chinese restaurant to have dinner. Loads of stuff, but I HATED THE SWEET & SOUR PORK. so disappointing!!!! :(
Anyway, my family went home while the rest of them went to the Esplanade. :)
Sunday, we had DIMSUM AGAIN!!!! for brunch since everyone woke up pretty late. OMG, I LOVE THE DIMSUM PLACE. They have 50% off during weekdays and and and and the egg tarts reminded me so much of Hong Kong that I think it beats Hong Kong even. But then again, I've forgotten how the dimsum in HK tastes like, so must go back and try. :p But omg, the dimsum was awesome, except for the CharSiewBao. EEEEEEE i'm in love. Yay!!!!! Then they mentioned how Anya must think that Asians only like to eat and eat and eat since we are always eating... :D
After that we went to VivoCity!!! At first I went to G2000 where they had this storewide sale so I thought maybe I could get a blazer... ended up at Zara trying to find one too but it didn't go well. Nevermind, I have loads of time! I have to get a blazer though... I don't really have much formal wear and just throwing on a blazer can make anything look remotely formal. Haha...
Didn't buy anything at all, but the men did I think. ho ho. Surprising eh? Anyway, the women all went to Swensens' after! :D Had fries AGAIN, and baked rice. :p It wasn't AWESOME, but okay. Had ice cream, and I'm sad to say the BLACKFOREST flavour failed. :( Then we went back to my uncle's place, where Hillary & her 'rents and Anya went back to Malaysia soon after, and I stayed behind with my uncle's family to send Elena to the airport.
At this point, I have to say that when I see people suddenly burst into tears, it makes me wanna cry too. It's like automatically my "tap" just turns on as well. It's pretty annoying, but at least I can say that I have emotions, just that it's a little bit too much. ARGH, even watching Singapore Idol can make me tear up! Dammmmn. Oh well, so I tried to hide all the stupid tears by looking away awkwardly but I think I just drew more attention to myself.
So we sat down to wait till 8 to go to the airport... we watched NDP! Wanted to drive by the highway for the fireworks but we were too late haha. Oh well, so at the airport, the luggage were too heavy, so had to transfer here, transfer there, all just to avoid paying the OVERWEIGHT baggage fee of 37 dollars, but in the end the counter lady just okay-ed the luggage. Haha, must've seen how hard we were trying to stuff everything in and sympathized. Or she was too fed up and just let us check in.
Headed over to Terminal 3 next to have dinner. I know, dinner at 9plus haha, quite ridiculous, but had chicken rice. I was pretty much dreading sending Elena off, but I said I wouldn't cry! Didn't cry as much as the last time we sent her off though, so that's an improvement! Doesn't mean that I wasn't sad to see her leave k! 2 years and I've only seen her once, even though it doesn't feel like 2 years at all. :/ I wonder why. Anyway, she disappeared amongst the crowd behind the immigration counter and we left. Sighhhh.
No worries, will see her soon enough I think, or I hope. hahaha. I keep telling myself that, but I don't know... We'll see!
But she's starting Uni next week? So it's like... she'll graduate earlier than me. Dumb education systems. BAH!!!!!
Oh well, I'll post pictures up soon...
Miss ya dear cousin!

Does anyone not think my blog picture is a stroke of genius?
i was playing around with like the solid color palette and suddenly everything became orangey, yellowy and purpley! :D i'm so proud of myself.
okay, enough of the "my-banner-is-the-smex" rant. i have been wanting, for the longest time, to update everyone about what has been happening!
so let's start from the Harry Potter outing.
now what happened then...
okay i think i accompanied Ky to the hospital where she first got a scan for her heart. yes. i tell you those masks you have to wear are horrible! they cover your nose and mouth, which is the point i know, but it totally makes you feel claustrophobic and that you are suffocating and the air in the world has all been sucked out by some unknown vacuum that you never heard about or you would be carrying around an oxygen tank. That kind of feeling. So it was a relief once we took it out. Oh right, then we headed over to Vivocity in a taxi! i felt so privileged, not because i hardly take taxis... i have taken my fair share thank you very much... but well, it's just so awesome that you can go from one place to another without waiting for a god damn bus like 61 to arrive but it doesn't and you get hot and bothered and curse the day 61 was made.
anyway, we bought tickets @ GV, and then we went to eat! i tell you it's so hard to choose what to eat when you're as indecisive as we are. But Ky bought Superdog, which i refused because it was BURGERSZXZ, i'm not eating a 5 dollar hotdog k... i have my mom for that. :) love you ma!
then i went to eat Long John! wooo, the $4.40 meal was so worth it in my opinion. I even upsized my drink! :o
Harry Potter. I've waited so long and now that I've seen you, I can't help but feel disappointed, of sorts. For one thing, I guess 2 years didn't really matter much. You could have come out last year and it wouldn't have made a difference. You'd still be totally steering away from the real story, and disappointing fans the world over. Sigh. I mean, it was nice, in a way, the cinematography and whatnot... but... it just wasn't as Harry Potter-ish as I would've liked. Too much emphasis on the relationships, too much added in that wasn't supposed to be there, too much cut out so much so that I fear for the next 2 movies. :( Sometimes I wonder , if Harry Potter was like a tv-series, would it have stayed truer to the story than if it was a movie? :/ I mean, you wouldn't have the huge budget a movie would have, but at least it would give them TIME, TIME to put in ALL the things that they'd taken out during the movie. :( Like the elves, the pensieve journeys... i wanted to see what MARVOLO riddle looked like, now i guess i will never know.
Do you think a remake will happen in the future? :( i want. maybe we should do it. hahaha.
Okay, in other words, i liked it but it wasn't good enough.
So that's one day down.
What else happened...
Oh, i fell sick, and missed one day of school. Like, yes I missed one day! :o OHMYGOD?! I've never missed a day of school so far, and now here I am, with a fever and decided okay I can't go to school, even for newswriting, which is a decision i now regret because now I will do badly for my last newswriting assignment. Anyway, had to wear a mask again, and I got 2 days MC, but Friday doesn't count since I don't have I.S. But I missed newswriting. :/ It's gonna cost me, i know.
Anyway, it was a bad fever, and I took antibiotics.
OMG, the antibiotics. There was one day when I couldn't swallow the pills, and i was so frustrated, so i thought i'd unscrew the pills and pour the powder in water to drink. So I did and when i put the cup to my mouth, the smell was so OUT OF THIS EFFING WORLD that i gagged. It was so bad, I can't even begin to describe how bad the smell was. It has left me scarred for life I tell you. So I swallowed all my pills after that, never trying to be the smart aleck and open the pill ew ew ew ew ew ew. Just talking about it grosses me out.
Anyway, what else?
Oh right, school and presentations. Yes.
Let's start with Tuesday, MRM.
Went to school dressed in semi-formal whatnots, since I am so lousy at dressing formally... Then rehearsed. I was quite the nervous git, and fumbled a lot during rehearsals. :( Then came the real presentation. We were the 2nd group, so it wasn't that bad. Nobody asked us questions, which I guess is a great thing! Then we started on our other projects, but it was like, quite okay, so I went home.
Wednesday was sad. I, being the director for our TVProd assignment, got some rehearsal done, so I kind of know the angles and stuff, but it's still a little murky for me... :/ Anyway, we also did some MM rehearsal... which wasn't much of a rehearsal, because nobody really cared anymore.
So we winged it. The last group to present mind you... I felt dejected. Got bombarded, I wanted to explain but standing up there terrified me to bits. I hate that. I hate it. At least I'm doing okay for MM so far. Hope to get a B at least...
Advertising was really rushed. Cos we had newswriting in the morning, and practically nobody was there. I was like rushing on the bus, because i thought i was late... i was, but i was the 3rd person there. Ahaha, yeah, so i got some feedback. I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO NOW. :( &&, I think like, I need to get a life. That was out of the blue, so don't mind that. I'm just thinking of what to say. So yes, we had our printing done like 5 minutes before the presentation, and mounted everything like crazy... then Mr Tay was so awesome about everything, saying we were persuasive and well-rehearsed and also liked our MEDIA ACTIVITY SCHEDULE THE BEST! :) The truth is we didn't have time to rehearse at all as a group, so haha. YAY what a way to end one of the worst weeks ever! :)
Yup, so i'm done. Think I may meet Ky later for some Ion-ing. :D
stay safe the lot of you!
xx
